I’m Maria Inês Matos, a multimedia and digital designer from Portugal.
I believe design should tell stories: honest, emotional and grounded in real people. Whether I’m building a visual identity, animating a video or crafting a poster, I always begin by listening.
My creative journey started in Pedrógão, a small village near Torres Novas, where I discovered a love for photography, music and cinema. That love has grown into a passion for bold, story-driven design shaped by texture, colour, emotion and sometimes a futuristic edge.
Today, I work across different formats: from motion graphics and editorial design to video production and web design. Yes, I get hands-on with WordPress too. My style tends to be expressive and maximalist but is always shaped by the message and the people behind it.
The work I do for my hometown’s annual festival holds a special place in my heart. It allows me to connect deeply with the community, telling their stories through video, social media and design, and creating experiences that speak their language.
I thrive in creative teams but also enjoy the space of solo work. My process is exploratory.
I sketch multiple ideas, shape narratives and refine concepts until they feel right. No idea is too unusual. If it tells the story, it’s worth exploring.
Above all, I care about making meaningful work that resonates, moves and connects.
